The perfect American
Some people’s perception is too focused on what it looks like to be an American.
The truth is, there is no proper way an American looks like.
An American can have numerous looks and personalities.
There isn’t just one image.
Because if there was, we’d be just like Hitler’s youth.
Blonde hair, blue eyes, and tall. There’d be nothing unique.
Nobody should decide on what you should look like, act like, or live like.
It doesn’t change you as a person, It’s only going to be a label that helps them depict you from everybody else, so don’t waste your time.
Trying to choose a different feature.
It’s okay to be you.
You can wear can wear a turban, have a different skin color, have your own customs, your own sexual preference, and work harder than others.
In the end, there’s no Perfect American.

ReplyDeleteI agree, and like the message of this poem, there is no perfect American, because America is a country of immigrants, where everyone is good. People should realize things.
