If I had Trillion Dollars

If I had a trillion dollars

If I had a trillion dollars
I would buy myself
a nice small house.
I would live in the suburbs,
and live comfortably with my family.

If I had a trillion dollars
I would travel around the world,
To the snowy mountains of Switzerland,
to the sandy deserts of Arabia,
to the pyramids of Egypt
and the museums of France.

I would go to the far corners of the world,
and then I would return back home
To relax and play with friends
wherever we wanted.
We would go to Disneyland
and great America,
and Comic Con,
and Maker Faire.
and anywhere else we wanted to go.

If I had a trillion dollars
I would go buy
my family whatever they wanted.
My sister a drawing pad
My dad a better computer
My brother an ipad
And whatever my mother asks for.

If I had a trillion dollars,
I think I would go
and try all the greatest restaurants in the world
Like the French Laundry,
and Eleven Madison Park,
and Noma,
and Osteria Francescana

If I had a trillion dollars
I would try to buy
all the greatest books in the world,
and buy a nice, large, comfy couch,
to go and read
Les Miserables
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Moby Dick
Ulysses
and many more.

If I had a trillion dollars
I would go to Africa,
and remodel every village i see,
into a image of perfection,
to the point that the actors in Hollywood
would be oozing jealousy.
I would take Bill Gates challenge,
and donate more than  ¼ of my wealth
to the children in need across the globe.

I would do all of this
If I had a trillion dollars
But I don't.
So I wont.

  1. I like how the ending showed how all the dreams can't come true and how money puts lots of blocks on people's dreams and makes the world unfair

  2. Great poem overall. I like how you said that you would offer your family whatever they wanted if you had that much money.
