Society. It makes things so complicated.
We are taught that putting on makeup makes you prettier.
And that guys won’t like you unless your hair is perfect
and you’re skinny.
But these people, the ones who manipulate you to believe this garbage,
they don’t understand. They don’t understand the pain others go through.
Young girls are starving themselves hoping to finally achieve a thigh gap.
Cutting themselves, thinking that they don’t deserve to be alive.
You see, it’s not just society’s fault, though.
We are the ones giving in.
We are listening to the foolish motions that society puts on us,
but we don’t have to.
Think about it.
We have so much on our minds already.
Family, school, jobs.
So why waste our time on these useless things?
Learn to be who you truly are.
And if you ever come across somebody who tells you to change,
you show them how strong you are and you show them they are wrong.
They are wrong about you.
Because if anybody needs to change, it’s them.
