Society

Society
There are two types of people in this world:
the problem makers, and the problem solvers;
Those who want the world to rot and those who want to prevent that;
the haters and the lovers;
the poor and the rich;
the criminals and the crime solvers,
the bad and the good,
the perverts and the knights,
the peasants and the kings,
the dictators and the presidents,
the managers and the leaders.
Yet when we look at these pairs,
we always find ourselves thinking,
we want to be one and we want to stay away from the other.
However, looking upon it at second glance,
we see that these wonderful pairings make up what we called society.
Without people who create problems, no one would know what to fix,
Without bad, no one would know the difference between good and bad,
Without the poor and shelterless, we wouldn’t know the privileged from the non-privileged.
Like a butterfly that needs two wings to fly,
Good and evil complement each other to make society flow smoother than silk,
yet pains us all the more.

  5. The message of your poem is mysterious in a good way and I like the simile with the butterfly.
