Stress

Stress (Final)
Jordan Shaver

Stress
It can be a life sentence
That is set with no trial

Too much homework
Too much pressure
Too many expectations

All of these things pile up
Until people’s brains are at the
Point of shutdown

People who are oblivious
Shrug it off as if it
Is no big deal, when it really is

The train tracks are still slick with blood
The gun is still smoking
The rope is still hanging

And all of this, for what?
A measley paper
Or a test that

Could have determined a career
That someone could have had
If their life hadn’t ended so fast

Stress
A devastating and
Effective rival

And no matter the importance
A miniscule grade
Should not set the time of death’s arrival

  1. I like how you used rhyme and repetition and you spaced the lines in an interesting way. Your message is very important and you get it across very well.

  2. I like how you used repetition in a different way. Your message is very clear and understandable.
