Discrimination

Discrimination

Discrimination.
Unfair treatment
Based on race, gender, age,
And the qualities of humans themselves

The terrible experience to be the victim.
Hurts deep down, and you feel like crying everyday.
You shudder at the cruel things said as they haunt you for eternity.
You wanna scream and shout for justice in the world.
It breaks you apart slowly,
Brainwashes you,

Makes you feel
Like you are an insult
And different from everyone else

Makes you feel
Like you don’t belong
And that you should run away
But you don’t know where to go.

Makes you feel
Like living is torture
And how it never stops

It tears you apart from who you really are.
What discrimination causes
War, and destruction,
Watching the world crumbling into pieces as life ends

They judge you based on your skin color
Instead of you brains, and personality.
They keep you from doing what you want.
And dreaming of who you want to be

But I say,
Fight back!

I say do what you want
Ignore the insults
And stand taller than you have ever before.

Show them who's boss
Who is no longer them anymore

Whether you're black or white
Or in between
You gotta stand for who you are.
