Behind You
You run around the corner.
The footsteps behind you seem to become faint.
Hiding against the wall.
You think you’re safe?
Think again,
don’t turn around.
You can feel it breathing on your neck.
The cold air sends chills down your body.
Everything seems to become cold.
Your temperature drops,
but your heart beats faster.
You cannot seem to focus,
you don’t know what to do.
What did you do to deserve this?
Why are you even here?
How did you get here?
Your memories are fading,
as the breaths on your neck get sharper.
You forget everything.
Your whole life,
gone.
Don’t look behind you.
