Act 3 Scene 5: The Two's Suicide
I think that this scene really shows the relationship that Juliet and Romeo have, both unable to live without the other. Romeo's suicide first shows how he'd do anything to be reunited with his love Juliet, "Here's to my love. Oh true apothecary, Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die." Juliet's suicide is her expression of the same feelings, "Oh happy dagger This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die." Together, they chose their own fate after society denied their wish of being together. Their suicide together also shows that they feel useless if they're not together and how they are stronger together than by themselves, able to defy what their parents and society says.

Act 2 Scene 1: Juliet's Worry
Prompt F
Juliet's Point of View
I've been waiting for a while now for the Nurse to return with news, but my love for Romeo is just as big as my worry for his answer. Will the nurse bring good news? Will she bring bad news? When will it be okay to stop worrying about these problems; this pressure will be the death of me. How will my parents react to this marriage and how will I even be able to look them in the eyes when they find out the truth. I hear the nurse's footsteps; she has come back but her facial expression shows nothing to be joyous about. Oh what should I do, has she brought back bad news? Was my love and hope so futile?

Act 2, Scene 3: Romeo's Impatience
Prompt D
Image:

Description:
The hare symbolizes Romeo in the third scene because of Romeo's impatience towards the marriage. When talking to Friar Lawrence, Romeo quickly explains his change of heart and how his love belongs to Juliet instead of Rosaline, and his wish to marry her, "Oh, let us hence. I stand on sudden haste." Friar Lawrence is surprised by Romeo's words and tries to slow him down, "Wisely and slow; they stumble that run fast." This is evidence of how Romeo's impatience and hastiness is that often represented by a Hare.

Act 2, Scene 2: Strength of Juliet's Love
Prompt F
Questions for Scene 2:
In scene 2.2, Juliet says, "Deny thy father and refuse thy name, Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet." This line really shows the strength of love between Juliet and Romeo, revealing how Juliet's love for Romeo is more important that her family and name. Juliet's bravery is also seen in this line since Capulet is her identity and who the society knows her as, presenting Juliet as willing to give up everything and announce that to the public. Juliet's love influences her to make this decision and brings out the courage inside of Juliet to be not the name that is given to her but who she wishes to be, not letting the idea that Capulet set restrictions on her relationship with Romeo, a Montague.

Purposefully Written
There are times when we wander inside of truth.
Take a peek inside the forest of words, see if it’s sooth.
We meet obstacles when we're lost like lies, by which we are bounded,
But there’s reality even when in fiction we’re surrounded.
But then we’re unable to discern between the two,
Because there are some truths we’re unable to consume,
And we think if they’re really true and which is optimism,
Unable to define if they’re lies or realism.
But there is one thing true, that I've come to abide...
I know it is nonfiction when I say there’s some purpose to us being alive,
And that is one thing I’m able to wholly confess from my heart,
This meaning and reason is true and only for us to impart.
And even when on the outside it might not look any different,
It’s special and only with you it fits brilliant.
The last puzzle piece to making you as a person complete,
And only with you will that puzzle piece fit.
Something inside you, it’s your definition.
You earned it with strength, bought it “limited edition.”
A purpose for me and a purpose for you.
This value that razors and fists will never break through.
This purpose surrounds you in walls that protect you,
The same walls that are able to ignore the words that they spit through.
No cannons, no guns, can cause holes in this purpose,
And this meaning is not judged by its look on the surface.
It's unique, not sold ANYWHERE
About which we stay unaware.
And so when we are lost,
We're concerned with its cost
Of this one-of-a-kind reason,
We think deserving it maybe is treason.
But these words can only describe one person
No matter your feelings or current emotion
Lives only for you the individual
And owning it doesn't make you a criminal.
This reason to live, purposefully written by you
For only one person, and that person is you
Made for the YOU alone
For this meaning is only to you known
There are many things without answers on Earth,
We all have had questions, ever since birth
So whenever you're lost, know that one thing is true,
It's that there is a reason for me and all of you
