Act 5 Scene 3: A Series of Confusing Words

PROMPT C

One of my favorite lines in the book was the line "I love thee better than myself" (Romeo). Romeo is talking to Paris. Romeo is trying to die with Juliet alone. However Paris there trying to protect Juliet from Romeo. When Romeo speaks to Paris, he tries to tell him to flee. However this is my favorite line because what Romeo says makes no sense. Paris did not seem to notice it or take it into consideration. This line should have made Paris think about what was happening when Romeo was talking all bad about himself. He could have even predicted that Romeo was suicidal.

Act 3 Scene 5: The Crossroads

Image result for which way

This picture is suppose to represent Juliet's state of mind. She does not know which path she wants to take. Should she leave Romeo and marry Paris? How is she going to get back to the one true love? Does she want to leave the family and get rejected by the father? There is only one choice she can make, but she will have to continue with that one choice. This crossroad also represents her options, because none of the choices define a certain outcome. When she decides to do something, she will not know what the outcome of her choice would be.

Act 3 Scene 1 The Cousin Murderer

PROMPT A

In lots of movies there are scenes where the main character finds his friend or family member injured on the ground dying. In lots of these movies, the main character seeks out the person that killed their friend to kill them. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo kills his cousin in law. He was so upset that his friend died, he took the life of his own cousin. This reminds me of the movie Spiderman. When Peter Parker finds out that his uncle was shot because he was talking to a guy that was running away. Because he finds his uncle dying from the hands of another, he goes around the city trying to find the person that murdered his uncle. He only does this so that he can get revenge on the person that killed his loved one. This is exactly what happened in Romeo and Juliet. The protagonist looked for the person that killed his uncle.

Act 2 Scene 4

PROMPT F
When I found out my Juliet liked a man from the Montegues, I almost laughed. She likes a guy from family she is suppose to hate. They have fought with us so many times. Honestly I don't see what she sees. He looks just slightly above average compared to most men. Honestly she should marry that Paris guy. He is a cousin of the Prince. The Capulet family would become a royal family and higher than the Montegues. But I raised her as a little girl, and all I want is for her to have the love of her life love her too.

Act 2, Scene 2: The Balcony Scene

Prompt E

The relationship between Romeo and Juliet is a bit strange. They believe it is love at first sight. However I think they are moving at a very fast pace. They might get married the next day if I interpreted the story correctly. When Juliet says, "If thou thinkest I am too quickly won," she thinks that Romeo might think she is weird for falling in love very quickly. This clearly means that they are moving too quickly. If Juliet thinks that Romeo might think she is weird for falling for him so quickly, that must mean that they should not get married within just a day of meeting each other.

The Lemon Life

The Lemon Life

Life will give you lemons.
Those lemons will be sour
But if you think about it hard enough,
you’ll realize,
lemons are used various ways.
It could be lemon cake,
it could be cookies,
it could be lemonade,
it could be that extra flavor that the food needs.
If you only notice the sour parts
you won’t taste the sweetness.
I know when you are negative
you will drag other people down.
However,
if you are positive
people will feel happy
they will want to hang around.
If you have fun with the people around you,
life will look less sour.
Soon you will start to notice,
there are fewer lemons.
Life will look sweet.
