Act 5 Scene 3: Prompt D: A broken Heart

This broken heart represents the pain that Juliet felt when she realized she caused Romeo's death. The emotional pain of the loss of her love broke her heart to a point of despair that few can truly bounce back from. And because of the emotional pain, she went ahead and used a dagger to literally break her heart.

Act 3 Scene 5 Prompt A: A Bittersweet Departure

Romeo and Juliet are so reluctant to leave each other that is reminded me of the bittersweet feelings I had when I had to move across the country. Leaving all of my friends and my school and my house was always hard and in the final moments it was always really hard to let go. Similarly to this Romeo and Juliet have to separate and they are having a hard time letting go of each other. It is always hard to not cling on to what you already have instead of accepting what you have to do but in some cases their is no other choice. Overall, I though this tied in well with how I felt when I finally had to leave my house.

Act 2 Scene 5 Prompt E: The Nurse and Juliet

Juliet and the nurse have an interesting relationship. Juliet trusts the nurse to guide her and is willing to tell her all of her secrets even though many rebellious teenagers like Juliet would avoid doing so with an adult so close to their parents. Also, the nurse is always concerned for Juliet and wants what is best for her, but at the same time she wants Juliet to be happy. I find it quite interesting that the nurse has become less tied in with the family's feuds even though she is such a big part of their everyday life. She is willing to put aside her differences and take risks for the happiness of Juliet and her love.

Act 2 Scene 4 Prompt B: Fights and Love

Act 2 Scene 4

Mercutio: What makes you feel the need to taunt Romeo? You may send him over the edge someday.

Romeo: What will you do about Paris coming to court Juliet? Will you fight?

Nurse: What is it that makes you so accepting of Romeo's situation?

Benvolio: Will you help Romeo in his situation with Tybalt? Do you think they will Quarrel?

Friar Laurence: What makes you so accepting of Romeo and Juliet's forbidden love?

Henri S RJ Prompt D

This image represents Romeo's attempt to court Juliet in Act 2 scene 2 serenading her with poetic words and compliments. It does a good job of representing Romeo trying to Juliet to give him a chance.

Henri S RJ Prompt F

             Act 1 Scene 5, Tybalt

I can't believe that horrible Romeo has come in to ruin the festivities for us all. Who does he think he is barging in as if he belongs here? I would kill him right here and now if it weren't for that wretched uncle of mine forcing me to wait! Methinks he shall feel the wrath of my sword tonight after the end of the festivities, and he will understand what it means to mess with a Capulet! I shall send his body back to the Montagues so they finally understand the true meaning of what it is to disrespect the Capulets!

Final Poem For Revision

I am Human

Sometimes I feel detached
Distant

Separated

Apart from the rest of society

I’m not the same

I’m Not uniform

I feel like a gazelle in a lion’s world
A rabbit in a turtle’s race
A true fish out of water

I feel like an outcast
Like I'm surrounded by a crowd of apples
That all fell from the same tree
And I'm not even from the same orchard

When I feel all of these things
I always go to a list
A list of things that I know
About me
And what I know about me is that

I am human
I have something in common
with everyone else

I am a human
