Act 3 Scene 5 Prompt D

The two roses represent Romeo and Juliet while the dagger between them represents their family feud. The roses circle the dagger but are unable to get rid of it without being cut.

Act 3 Scene 5 Prompt E

Juliet and her father have a very bipolar and differing relationship. It seems like sometimes he is a nice, caring, and happy father but in this scene he is cruel and mean to Juliet. It is odd that he could go from one side to the opposite over a matter that should be her choice. He reminds me of a small child who did not get his way so he throws a fit. I think that Juliet and her father have some deep seeded problems that they should work out over therapy or having a deep conversation with each other.

Act 3 Scene 1 Prompt C

"Mercutio: No better term than this: thou art a villain
  Romeo: Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage to such a   greeting. Villain am I none. Therefore farewell. I see thou knowest me not."

This quote shows that it is clear that Romeo does not care what others think of him. When Mercutio calls him a villain, he just says, goodbye I guess you don't really know me. I think this is brave and a great trait to have because not caring what others think makes him verbally bulletproof. I was surprised that his character was portrayed this way because I always thought of him as full of rage and a ticking time-bomb. After reading this line my opinion of him has changed greatly for the better.

Act 2 Scene 4 Prompt B

Nurse: Why is it that she feels different than the rest of the family and is okay with the marriage?

Benvolio: What would make him talk to the Nurse?

Romeo: Why is he being stalked by Mercutio?

Peter: Why does he let himself be bossed around?

Romeo: Why would he not just walk away from Mercutio?

Act 2 Scene 2: Balcony Prompt D

Romeo and Juliet confess their love to each other and talk about their desired marriage together. This shows how strongly they feel about each other.

Act 1, Scene 5: The Forbidden Kiss Prompt D

They are in love at first sight and the kiss represents their love turning into something. It is the first time they talk and they truly connect. It is almost as if it begins to connect them as a couple together.

Dark

The dark should be feared

It has no superior

It can absorb you

And hide you from sight

Be careful

Beware the dark

For you never know

What lurks in the shadows

Monsters with strength

Bears with teeth

Tigers with claws

Who knows what else

Tingles run down your spine

Shivering, you ask:

Am I safe?

You turn in circles

Trying to secure the perimeter

But you forget to look up

By then it is too late

The dark already has you
