Act 5, Scene 3: Plot Holes

Prompt B
Paris-How did you get killed by a 15 year old?
Friar Lawrence-Why couldn't you tell Romeo that his wife is faking suicide yourself? Were you really that busy?
Paris- Why would you go to Juliet's tomb every night when you barely met the girl and she obviously had no feelings for you?
Friar Lawrence- Why didn't you comfort Juliet after her husband just killed himself?
Romeo-Why kill yourself over a girl that you met 4 days ago?
Prince-Why don't you punish the Friar? He was the 'mastermind' behind the entire plan.

Act 3, Scene 5: Angry Dad

Prompt D

This image represents the scene because Lord Capulet is very mad at Juliet for not wanted to marry Paris.  He yells at her for a couple of minutes then finishes by saying how she will marry Paris or she will have to leave the family.

Act 2 Scene 5: Anxious Juliet

Prompt F
Pretending to be: Juliet.
Where is the  Nurse? She is far to old and slow.  She does not understand the urgency of my situation.  If she had my love for Romeo she would be flying across Verona to the Montague's.  I am anxious for any news at all.  I pray with all my might that he is not married and wants to marry me.

Act 2 Scene 2: A Blinding Love

Prompt E

The relationship between Romeo and Juliet is interesting and very different.  They met at a party a couple of hours ago and fell straight in love with each other.  They then find out their families are great enemies and their parents will never let them be together.  However even though they barely know each other, they still risk everything to be together.
"O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name.
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet."

Act 1 Scene 5: A teenage Boy.

Prompt C
"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!"
Not only is this line rememberable but it also shows us how Romeo really wants to find a girlfriend.  He comes to the party looking for Rosaline, a girl he had a crush on, and now he is reciting poetry about how this new girl is the most wonderful girl he has ever seen.  Through this line, Romeo proves he is the average teenage boy just going through puberty and figuring out about girls.

A Breathing Miracle

The plane whipped back parallel to the lifeboat.
Three men cheered as rescue filled  their minds.
The plane neared.
Their eyes fell upon the red circle glittering in the afternoon sun.
It was crudely painted on the side of the bomber.
It burned like a hot iron through the men.

The machine gun started up as Louie dove for cover under water.
Shots pierced the light above.
The bullets came in like icicles then fizzled down.
He watched,
and waited.
Praying his friends didn’t get shot

He looked down and saw
“the huge, gaping mouth of a shark, emerging out of darkness and rushing straight at his legs.”
Louie punched the shark’s nose.
It flinched backwards into the depths of the dark water.
Suddenly it flicked its tail and came back for more.
Louie punched it again with more confidence.

He climbed up the boat and shook his friends.
The plane came back five more times.
Dive
Punch
Punch
Shake friends
Repeat.

They all lived.
