Prompt F
If I were Romeo..
I would do anything to openly express my love for my most valued lover Juliet. My Montague name is restricting me from marrying the love of my life but I must go through with it anyway. Why does this have to be this way? Why has our fate made our love forbidden? I had not seen such beauty until the night I laid my eyes on her. I would do anything to be with her, and I won't let me being a Montague and her a Capulet stop me. What will our parents say? What will our surrounding families react to our love? I could not, and will not care. My love for her is too strong to stop me from being with her, no matter what family we are from. She is who I must be with, and I will never leave her side.
I agree with your observation of Romeo's love blinding him. Mercutio and Benvolio also point this out in relation to Rosaline, indicating that he acts in a similar way when he is in love with anybody. Does this make his love for Juliet less significant?
ReplyDeleteWhy does love play such a strong role in a person's thoughts and decisions?
ReplyDeleteGreat descriptions! It is so interesting how in a matter of seconds, his love for Rosaline, which used to completely consume him, gave him so much distress. And now, he feels even more distress because his new love is one he cannot be with.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you express your love so fast though? Romeo changes his feelings to fast, how does he really know that he loves Juliet?
