Act 2 sc 2: Won't define you

Act 2. Sc. 2 Juliet say's"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would be sweet."
This quote shows how a name does not define who you are as a person. In these terms Juliet is referring to her Capulet name, which is so controversial to Romeo. It is most true that it doesn't show that she needs the name, that it gives her a purpose. It doesn't. She can be whatever she wants to be with out being a Capulet.
