Act 3 Scene 1: Tis but a Flesh Wound

In this scene, Mercutio starts a fight with Tybalt just for the heck of it while Romeo and Benvolio try to stop it. However, they are too late and Mercutio is fatally wounded. When he is asked how hurt he is, he replies, "Ay, ay, a scartch, a scrath". This reminds me of a famous scene from an old movie called Monty Python in which a black knight challenges the King to a fight. During the fight, the king cuts off the black knight's arm and the black knight says, "Tis but a scratch". When both of his arms are cut off, he says "tis but a flesh wound". These two are related because they both make have a heavily injured man who waves of his injury as if nothing is going to happen to him.
