Act 2 Scene 2- Romeo Develops a Stalking Issue

Prompt E

Romeo and Juliet have met each other just earlier that night and yet Romeo feels the need to stalk her back to her own house. Juliet then proceeds to not be mad about the endeavor but encourage this kind of behavior and then they talk about possibly getting married. I think that this whole relationship is based off of Romeo's subconscious need to get over Rosaline and Juliet's wanting to not be forced into a relationship with Paris. They've just met each other earlier that night and yet the idea of being married to the enemy is so taboo and exciting that it is immediately enticing to them both. I think that this relationship would not have held out if they both lived for more than the next four days.

  1. I have never thought about it this way. I like your out-of-the-box thinking and making connections that most people never would.

  2. I really like your interpretation on this scene. I had similar thoughts when reading about Romeo following Juliet back to her house.
