Romeo - How did you automatically know that Juliet would come out at that exact time?
Juliet- Why do you talk to yourself on a Balcony?
Romeo- Why are you just listening to Juliet talk?
Juliet-You are already ready to marry him?
Romeo - Won't someone catch you if you stay at the balcony too long?
Romeo: I listened to Juliet talk because I am in love with her and I was looking for an opportunity to talk to her.
ReplyDeleteJuliet was probably talking to herself as a way to make the play interesting, because if monologues happened in real life that would be weird, but it makes sense for there to be monologues in plays.
These are good questions. I think for Romeo's first question, he was just guessing Juliet would be there without thinking, and got lucky. For Romeo's second question, he didn't have a plan in his mind, and he wanted to see what Juliet thought.
