Juliet-Are you trying to hide your feelings for Romeo?
Tybalt-Were you angry with Capulet when he told you to stay away from Romeo?
Capulet-Why weren't you very upset to find out that Romeo, a Montague was at your masque party?
Lady Capulet-Why do you want Juliet to get married so soon?
Romeo's parents are definitely going to be pissed. Here they are fighting the other family for a long time and now their son is in love with the daughter of Capulet.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that Capulet was willing to let Romeo at the party because he was in a good mood. He probably thought something like: What harm could he do? Since Romeo set a good reputation for himself, Capulet most likely took this into account when choosing whether Romeo should stay or he should go.
I would also ask Romeo the same questions. How can his feelings be so strong for Juliet that he totally does not care about Rosaline anymore after he was so heartbroken over her?
ReplyDeleteTybalt is most likely very angry with Capulet when he is told to stay away from Romeo. He thinks Romeo should be forced to leave, which differs from the views of Lord Capulet. He probably does not understand why Lord Capulet would say this.
ReplyDeleteLady Capulet is probably open to the idea of Juliet getting married when Paris says he wants to marry her. It is also not uncommon for people to get married at a young age during this time.
